There are dozens of "personal trainers" in the Oklahoma City area. Each personal trainer will have their own modality of training as well as their own ideas of what works and what doesn't. The only concern that you as a potential personal training client should consider is can the personal trainer you hire help you reach your goals. If you have spent any time in the gym you will see most people have the same exercise patterns and habits that may have worked when they first started exercising, but over time without progressive intensity their goals may never be reached. The idea to hire a personal trainer should not only keep you motivated and on track, it should also help keep your exercise program progressively moving forward. It should be developed with your individual goals and needs in mind. One size fits all exercise programming just does not work, one size fits all diets will end in failure.
What makes what I do for my clients different than 99% of all the other personal trainers? I treat each and every client as they are my only client and build science based, progressive exercise programs and diet recommendations to meet each clients specific goals. When I take on a client, they have access to me via phone, text and email 24/7 for any questions or concerns they may have. My job as your personal trainer does not start when you walk through the door and end when your session is over. If I take you on as a client you can think of me as a life coach that is ready to help you in almost all aspects of your life that can affect your health and well being.
Old school methods of weight training (i.e. bench press... rest, bench press... rest, bench press... rest, move to the next exercise) are not a valid exercise regimen for the masses. Each persons goals need to be addressed specifically and since as a personal trainer, I may only get to see a client 3-4 hours per week I have to make sure they get the most they can out of each session. My clients don't waste any time with unneeded rests, no cookie-cutter workouts from fitness magazines or fad diets that attempt to provide a quick fix to a life time of poor habits. When I put together a health and fitness program for my personal training clients they will always see the results faster and be able to maintain their new bodies because we work on creating healthy habits that will last a lifetime. There is no magic pill nor any type of shortcut to becoming your very best. It takes hard work. Many times it will include very difficult diet changes such as giving up certain foods and drinks that are doing more harm than good to your health and weight.
